Welcome

Interlink Capital Strategies, established in 1994, is a Washington DC-based consulting firm specializing in emerging market finance and business development.  Our managers are experts in developing business opportunities and/or financing them with a Washington insider’s expertise on how to access numerous government lending programs, which often is the only long-term debt available for many of these markets.

We offer:

  1. Structured and project finance with unparalleled capabilities in the use of bilateral and multilateral financing programs from the U.S., Europe & Asia

  2. Green energy finance through various government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Energy

  3. Project development, with a focus on emerging markets

  4. Loan restructurings and workouts

Interlink Capital Strategies (ICS or Interlink) specializes in creating the quantitative and qualitative project information to develop business opportunities and arrange financing.  The original company was founded by Tim Bridgewater and Neil Bush (former President Bush’s brother) to focus on business between the U.S. and Southeast Asia.  Today we have political ties on both sides of the aisle and the focus has broadened to include Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union countries.

While we have traditionally worked overseas, we have also been involved in a number of domestic opportunities (e.g., the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Investment Corporation program with a U.S. focused, publicly-traded mezzanine debt fund).  Most recently we have actively participated in the launch of the Department of Energy’s Loan Guarantee Program for alternative green energy and have obtained one of the first approvals in this important program.

We are a registered GSA contractor and a designated Enterprise Development Network Originator for the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), as well as a financial advisor for the U.S. Export-Import Bank’s structured finance program.

We access funding for international projects using government support from U.S., European, Asian, and multilateral institutions.
